What's Up my people. I am so excited that the time is near.
FYI....Remember that the Meet-N-Mingle is on This Friday, June 10th. We will start passing out
the totes at 7 pm. Happy Hour is from 5-8 pm. As long as you get there before 8 pm, there is no cover charge.
If you get there after 8pm, you will have to pay to enter. A professional photographer will be on hand to take
optional pictures. Optional meaning, if anyone would like to take pictures, they will be available for an inexpensive
cost. A buffet will be available during Happy Hours only.
The attire is not semi-formal nor formal. However, Please dress to impress in ALL Black or ALL White. I will
be greeting and watching.......oh, And I Will call you out at the picnic!!
The Alumni Picnic will be held Saturday at Homewood Park from 11 am to 4pm. Please
try to make it on time for the sake of a good parking space and to take advantage of all the activities.
As for as the food, I have made sure that there will be enough food for all Paid Alumni and Paid Guests. Picnic
Food Passes will be placed in the tote bags on Friday for all that have paid. There will be one pass
for each person of your family that you have registered and paid for. A pass must be presented to eat.
You are welcome to bring anyone else, however, I will be unable to feed them until all Paid Alumni and Paid Guests have been
served.
I need at least 10 volunteers to help serve for at least one hour at the picnic. Your time and efforts
will be appreciated.
We are scheduled to to take an Alumni group picture @ the park provided that it doesn't rain before we get a chance to.
So Remember to wear your Alumni T-Shirt.
As well remember to bring: Lawn chairs or beach towels, an umbrella (Just in case it rains) card tables,
and anything else that you can think of that will make your picnic as comfortable as possible.
If you know of any other Alumni that has not paid, but would like to participate, please let me know. I will
not be able to order anymore TShirts, so all they would have pay is $45 for Alumni or $55 for Alumni plus 1 Guest. If
you want to bring a non-Alumni guest, it will just be $10 to eat. I have to re-confirm the food order 48 hours
before the event. So I have to know by Thursday @ 2pm, if anyone would like to bring a non-alumni guest or if there
are any Alumni that haven't paid, but would like to participate.
Lastly, Earnest Maiden will be selling tickets for the Saturday night after party. The tickets are only $5.00 for
all you can eat and drink. Please Support him so we can take this thing out with a bang.

Good afternoon fellow Alumni. I am glad to announce that we are almost there. Just a reminder that the reunion
is 18 days away. That's a little over 2 weeks to go. Make sure the dates are on your calendar, ya job's calendar,
ya babysitter calendar, and who ever else that needs to know that you will partying all weekend long calendar.
The Reunion is June 10-11th.

to give everyone an opportunity to go home from work to change. Due to the Happy Hour time, I did not incorporate a cover

Alumni Picnic : June 11, 2005
Homewood Park: 11 am to 4 pm
Directions to Park:
From Downtown Birmingham: Take the Red Mountain Expressway into Homewood. Make a right
on 28 Street South. You should see a TCBY icecream shop on your left. Keep straight on that road. You will
come to a main intersection in which you will see Ed's Pet World a little to your right. Keep straight...you will pass
a business called Whiskey Tango that will be on your right and Dandalus Candles on your left. As you continue on this
road, you will also pass a SouthTrust Bank on your left. The road will began to curve, so stay to the left. Approximately
1 to 2 minutes after the road curves, you should see the park on your right.
From 20th Street South: Go up 20th Street South from the Southside. Pass Vulcan Park
on your right. Continue down 20th Street. You will see Ed's Pet World on your right. Go to the light right
after Ed's Pet World and make a right on 28th Ave South. Keep straight on that road....you will see a SouthTrust Bank
on your left. The road will began to curve, so stay to the left. Approximately 1 to 2 minutes after the road curves,
you should see the park on your right.
Pavilion #2 is reserved for our picnic. The pavilion is located right next to the playground.
Parking is located on all sides of the park. As well, they have a parking lot located at the swimming pool area.
I do not know what other events will be going during that day, so try to come early to get a good parking spot.
Note:
Jim-n-Nicks will be there to set up @ 10:30 am. The food will be ready to serve @ 11 am. We will be serving
food from approximately 11 am to 1 pm. So please get there on time. I would like for everyone to participate in
all the functions without having to work the full time.
We will have moonwalks and games set up for the kids and adults as well. There is a whole program set up for the
picnic. The program will start @ 1pm. So once again, PLEASE BE THERE ON TIME!!
Lastly, Earnest Maiden, one of our fellow alumni, is a prominent DJ in our city. He will be hosting an afterparty
@ Club Phoenix, located in Downtown Fairfield. The party admission is only $5.00 for all you can eat and drink.
Tickets will be available Friday @ the the Meet-n-Mingle and Saturday @ the Picnic. In Lieu of having to cancel the
banquet, I think this will be great Saturday Night outing for us. Make sure ya face is in the place!!
